Betsey Johnson's TooToo

Betsey Johnson's newest fragrance is one of my favorite recent purchases. In comparison to the first one, this one smells so much better to me.
This is what the bottle looks like. I didn't purchase this bottle, I got a smaller size & glitter lotion. Even though I didn't ge this, I absolutely LOVE this bottle! It is very different and so cute with the sequin rimmed tutu. The scent contains notes of passion fruit, mandarin, ginger, and strawberry leaves. It is girly and fun, way more girly than her first scent.
She even has a collection with Sephora by OPI nail polishes that smell like the perfume!

I can definitely add this to my list of favorite smells. I highly recommend this!

Wedges

A shoe that I see in almost every shoe section this season are wedges. For me, I'm not typically a high heel person, but I decided to try wedges out. They still hurt somewhat, but are far more comfortable and much easier to walk in that high heels. There are various styles of wedges.

A sling back wedge

A strappy, summery wedge

An ankle boot wedge

A night time type of wedge

There are many more styles and variations of wedges besides these.

These are wedges that I recently purchased from JC Penney. I especially liked the print on the wedge. They were quite comfortable and easy to walk in. After a while, the pain did get a little unbearable but overall, I lasted WAY longer in these than I would in a pair of heels.

Color Blocking

A new trend that I am starting to notice is color blocking. Color blocking is a bold trend that is out of the norm. You mix colors that you normally wouldn't do. I've noticed that many celebrities are doing the trend, but everyday people aren't doing it as much. It is kind of risky, and the safest way to play it is by mixing complementary colors. Here are some examples:
Here is the style on males:
Anyone can do it, the question is are you bold enough to step out of the norm & try it?

Salvatore Ferragamo

While doing my Design House Identification sheet, the ready to wear collection for Salvatore Ferragamo caught my eye. All of the bright colors & prints are aesthetically pleasing to my eye. I have a wide range of taste in fashion, and fun prints and bold colors are some of them. Here are some of my favorite pieces from the collection:

Moisturize with Style

Chapstick has been brought to another level! I was shopping at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago, & this new product caught my eye (mostly because of the bright colors). They come in 6 different shades: Grapevine,  Pink Punch, Peach Kiss, Peppermint, Cherry Me, & Quenched. I purchased Pink Punch & Peach Kiss, and I am very impressed. I can use Pink Punch when I go out because it gives my lips a pretty pink tint, but not as heavy like lipstick (but pretty close). They give you a nice tint & moisturize so well. I don't know if I will be purchasing Grapevine & Cherry Me, they are rather dark, but if you're into bold colors give it a shot! Prices vary from store to store, & on the Maybelline website they are $3.99. I recommend adding at least one of these fashionable chapsticks to your makeup collection!

Shoes of Prey

I discovered this website last year through my fashion class in high school. It is a website where you can design your own heels and flats with various choices of colors and styles. You can choose from patent leather, soft leather, shiny soft leather, suede, glitter, animal hair, genuine snake skin, silk, and sequins. You can also add flowers and bows to the front of the shoes. With all of those style choices, the possibilities to create a shoe is endless. The prices of the shoes are on the expensive side, because of the materials of customization. One day I would like to create a pair of heels, maybe when I get enough money. Here is an example of a shoe I created:
This particular design costs 280 dollars to make. On the website, there is a YouTube video that shoes you how the shoes are made. This is an amazing website so check it out! http://www.shoesofprey.com/
